Rock, mineral & glass consignment
Wanna sell your collection? We make it easy! Sit back and let us do the hard work.
We appraise, photograph, list, and ship your collection. You get paid when it sells. No upfront fees. No hassle.

Maximize the return on your labor
Maybe you inherited a collection, or you're downsizing one you built over years. Either way, selling it yourself is a lot of work.
Getting top dollar ain't easy
Each specimen needs appraisal, photos, measurements, a description, and a listing, dealing with buyers and a trip to the post office. We handle all of that.
The devil is in the details
Misidentification, missing locality info, or vague photos can mean returns, unhappy buyers, or pieces selling for less than they should. Let us worry about that.
Fragile pieces need careful shipping
Crystals and glass break easily. Packing them well takes the right materials and practice. We've got that covered.
How it works
Follow these steps to start getting paid
Step 1: Free consulation. We wanna see your stuff!
Send us some pictures of your collection. We'll get back to you with an appraisal and a plan to sell it
Step 2: We evaluate and agree on terms
We review your collection, get to understand your motivation for selling, and agree on terms in writing before anything moves.
Step 3: We photograph, list, and ship
We handle sales strategy, photos, descriptions, listings, buyer questions, and careful packing.
Step 4: You get paid
When pieces sell, we pay you your share. No upfront fees. No hassle. You can even track sales and payments online.

About us
Hi, I'm Marilyn (Merlin), thank you so much for stopping by. I started Merlin's Moody Market in 2026 with my husband, Shawn, so we can share our knowledge and love of collecting shiny objects! We are extremely passionate about crystals, minerals, fossils, and American and European art glass.
As a husband and wife team, we complement each other perfectly. I have a keen eye for value, extensive product knowledge, marketing experience, and a history of excellent customer service. Shawn is a career engineer who runs the back-end logistics of the operation. Inventory management, contract terms, shipping, and receiving are all handled by Shawn. We have a track record of success, an eBay store, and experience running a small business. Rest assured, you are in good hands throughout the entire process.
Questions
What happens if something doesn't sell?
Our initial consultation and appraisal will include an estimate of how long an item is expected to sell, and we will keep you informed every step of the way. As part of our contract terms, every 90 days we will have a continuation meeting. We will discuss whether you want to hold course, pull the item(s), or shift strategy. You are in the drivers seat.
Who pays for shipping?
The end buyer pays for shipping. Merlin buys the packaging materials and handles the shipping, but the buyer pays for calculated shipping based on the item's weight, size and buyer's location.
How long does it take?
Once an agreement is in place, Merlin will move quickly to process your collection. The time it takes to sell an item depends on the item itself, the market, and the price. You can choose an aggressive or conservative listing strategy. We will watch our data and recommend adjustments as needed.
What if something gets damaged?
Merlin will always treat your items like precious cargo. But accidents happen. We will always own up to them. Rest assured, if anything happens to your items while in our care, we will make it right. Please see our contract for more details.
